Odd Streams #011: How to Use SullyGnome's Game Picker to Grow Your Follower Count
Plus the most comfy pair of sweatpants for gamers, xQc's ban, the upcoming release of Cyberpunk 2077, and more.
Get More Followers Using SullyGnome
If you’re a small streamer, I can only hope you’ve used SullyGnome before. It’s a really helpful analytics tool allowing you to look up a ton of different interesting Twitch stats.
More recently, they released a beta tool called Game picker. This feature allows you to analyze the Twitch directory over the past hour to help you choose which game to play. Game picker estimates how many followers you may gain per hour of streaming based on which game you play.
How To Use It
Visit this link (or find you way to the page using the photo above).
Once you’re there, there’s a two-step process to finding the best game to play to maximize your follower count.
Type in the number of viewers you typically average during each stream
Select how high (or low) you’d like to be placed in a game’s directory position.
Based on that criteria, SullyGnome’s tool will share which games you should play.
By no means is this an exact science. The tool itself says so. But you should consider using this tool if you’re a small streamer trying to grow your audience.
If you don’t enjoy playing niche games, then this probably won’t be the best method for you to grow. That’s because all the recommended games for small channels are relatively unknown.
Case Study for Game Picker
riotaura1 started streaming on August 15, 2020.
He already has 6,197 followers. He averages 27 viewers per stream. And he gained 775 followers in the last week.
Based on his channel numbers, Game picker recommends he play 1v1.lol. It’s a watered-down version of Fortnite with a relatively small community.
Well, riotaura1 has been playing the game for the last month or so and has gained the majority of his followers and viewers during this time.
If that doesn’t make the case to use the tool, I don’t know what does.
